ヴァサン・シッティケート（1957年10月7日、ナコーンサワン県生まれ）は、バンコクとナコーンサワンにあるスタジオを拠点に活動。彼はこれまで国際的に数多くの展覧会を開催してきた。主なものに、現代社会を「罪人」と「その罰」という観点から批判的に捉えた『インフェルノ（地獄）』（バンコク国立美術館、1991年：個展）、タイの人々への108の質問を通じてタイ文化を批判的に考察した『アイ・ラブ・タイ・カルチャー』（バンコク国立美術館、1995年）、1976年10月6日にバンコクで起きた学生虐殺事件から20年をテーマにした『ブルー・オクトーバー』（サンデー・ギャラリー、バンコク、1996年：個展）、コンケン県のイサーン地方（タイ東北部）の農民の生活様式を調査した『ファーマーズ・アー・ファーマーズ（農民は農民）』（タドゥ・ギャラリー、バンコク、1997年：個展）、人はどのように育ち、善人や悪人になっていくのかを問いかけた『ウィ・カム・フロム・ザ・セイム・ウェイ（私たちは同じ道から来た）』（ナムトーン・ギャラリー：個展）、『フリー・オール』（ギャラリー・ガシェ、バンコク、カナダ、2011年：個展）、『アイ・アム・ユー』（バンコク芸術文化センター[BACC]、2018年）、『スティル・アライブ』（MOSミュージアム・オブ・サムシング／レッド・ドッグ・ギャラリー、チェンマイ、2023年）などがある。
アーティスト・ステートメント
私は、自分の考えを表明するための「声」としてアートを制作している。
希望や夢、周囲の人々の生活から得たインスピレーション、そして社会問題、不公正、人間性、反資本主義といったテーマを扱っており、社会、生活、文化、政治、そして革命と深く関わっている。
私の近作は、人類の置かれた状況をテーマにしている！
私のモットー
「アートは私の武器だ。
愚かな強欲と権力を打ち砕くための武器。
自らの心身を捧げること、
それこそがアーティストのあり方なのだ！」

I make art as my voice to say what I think
Hope and dream,inspiration from people life around me and social problems injustice humanity anti capitalism so it concern with society life culture politics and revolution,
