Alex McLeod (b. 1984) is a visual artist who is informed by the transition of matter and simulation. His practice is primarily new media based; 3D, interactive and rapid prototyping are essential methods of his practice. Large-scale prints and videos have been exhibited and collected from New York to Tokyo, including more recently “Dreamlands: Immersive Cinema and Art” at the Whitney Museum. Experienced in the development of integrated art, his interior mural at the Drake Commissary (2017) has received international acclaim from the world of fine art, architecture, and interior design. McLeod’s 11th solo show HISTORY OF THE WORLD was presented in Montreal in 2017. He is represented by Division Gallery Toronto|Montreal.
