サーシャ・ピアースは1997年オンタリオ州グエルフ大学にて学士、2004年にオンタリオ州ウォータールー大学にて修士を取得。シルバーナイト卒業生賞受賞。ピアースは、カナダ、トロント市のジェシカ・ブラッドリーギャラリー他、LAのACME、ヒューストンのCTRL Gallery、Texas他にて個展開催。また、ピアースは、トロント市のMercer Union、レジーナ市のダンロップアートギャラリー、ベルリンのII、Ballhaus Ost、Berlin、トロントのカナダ現代美術館、ウォータールー大学付属美術館でのグループ展に参加している。また、彼女は、オンタリオ州文化庁によるローラシラーズ絵画賞（2015年）受賞者でもあり、1996年以来、20以上のアーティスト助成金を受賞している。カナダ文化庁プロジェクト助成、オンタリオ州文化庁中堅芸術家助成、トロント市文化庁中堅芸術家助成、オンタリオ州文化庁アウトリーチ助成《ソル・エクスプレス、ラルシュ》など。 2009年には、第11回RBC Painting Prizeにて佳作賞。ピアースの展覧会は、カナディアンアート誌、ボーダークロッシング誌、カナダの全国紙グローブ・アンド・メール紙、トロント・スター紙など、多くの出版物にてレビューが掲載されている。彼女の作品は、ドリス・マッカーシー美術館常設コレクション、トロント大学スカーボロ校ドノバン・コレクション、カナダ文化庁アートバンクコレクション、RBC銀行コレクション、BMO銀行コレクション、TD銀行コレクション、クリーブランドクリニックアートコレクション（米国）など多数。

Sasha Pierce is a Toronto based artist. Tessellations, the repetition of one or more geometric shapes with no overlaps and no gaps, are the foundation for Pierce’s ongoing exploration of the complex relationships between repeating geometry, perspective, self-determination systems, and material processes. In her paintings she takes advantage of the inherent physicality of oil paint – along with the seemingly infinite variety of colours it can afford – to experiment with the concepts of colour, composition, and texture; thus evoking the impression of textiles. Unlike the mass production of garment and textile factories, her work emulates the loving toil and meticulous technique of a couturier in paint.
Recent exhibitions include: Western Exhibitions, Chicago (2017); Richard Heller Gallery, Los Angeles (2016); Mixed Greens, New York (2015); Jessica Bradley, Toronto (2013); and Mercer Union, Toronto (2013). Pierce was the recipient of the Ontario Arts Council Laura Ciruls Painting Award (2015) and was awarded honourable mention in the Eleventh Annual RBC Canadian Painting Competition (2009). Recent residencies include: Vermont Studio Center/Artist Fellowship (2016); Digital Painting Atelier at OCAD University (2016); and Open Studio, Toronto (2015). Selected collections include: The Cleveland Clinic Art Collection, Canada Council Art Bank and Doris McCarthy Gallery, University of Toronto, Scarborough.
