不明の言語帳 ｜ ジクリ・ラーマン

Buku Jalanan（ブク・ジャラナン）の実践を派生させることによって、我々は、知識の主な伝達手段としての言語を越えて、相互主義と学習の反映を通じた知識共有の可能性を検討しなければならない。我々は、アウトサイダーとしてのアーティストの脆弱性をめぐる「遊び心」と「身振り」の可能性を見て、どのように「言語」を作り、知識を生み出すのか？：機能する言語を理解できずに、しかしながら、尋問の手段としての「普遍的な教育」の理想と並置する。人間は平等であるという仮定の元での実践の提案として−知る事と知らない事の関係性において−人間の相互作用の主観性を全面的に解放するために。アーティストの脆弱な立場；解明者としてではなく、未知の新しい形の「言語」を創造する際の単なるメディエーターとして。意識的に学習の脆弱性の問題を探求する手段として置くことによって、単に「集団言語」ではなく「収集言語」を主要な不安定な作業の過程のコンテナとして置くことができる。知識を共有し生産する集団行為を通じて、このプロセスは、レジデンシー期間中に継続的に共同生産されるジン制作の様々な交流を文書化する。

Language Book of the Unknown – Zikri Rahman

By deriving on the praxis of Buku Jalanan, we are to look at the potentialities of sharing knowledge through the reciprocity and reflection of learning, beyond language as the main transmission of knowledge. How do we create “language” and producing knowledge by looking at the potentialities of “playfulness” and “gesturing” around the vulnerabilities of the artist as an outsider?; who cannot grasp the functioning language but to juxtapose it with the ideal of “universal teaching” as a means of interrogation. By proposing and working under the supposition that the equality is embedded between human – the relationality of knowing and not knowing – to emancipate the whole subjectivity of human interaction. The vulnerable positionality of the artist; not as an explicator but merely a mediator of “language” in creating a new form of language yet unknown. By consciously putting the vulnerabilities of learning as means of exploring the question of not merely a “collective language” but “collected language” as the main container of unstable meaning making process of the work. Through the collective act of sharing and producing knowledge, the process will document the various exchange through the form of zine-making which will be continuously co-produce during the residency period of time.

ジクリ・ラーマンは、多様な学際的な社会政治的活動や様々な文化活動のプロジェクトに常に携わるアーティストであり、知識生産のモードを分散させることに焦点を当てた、文化労働者の集団的およびコミュニティベースの文化リテラシーイニシアティブである Buku Jalanan（ブク・ジャラナン）の共同設立者。「根茎」のように運営されているこのイニシアティブは、およそ100の異なる場所に拡散中で、世界中の何百人もの自治文化労働者たちに採用されている。彼はまた、「遠足プロジェクトアジア・マレーシア」コーディネーターとして第一回クアラルンプール・ビエンアーレ、第7回クアラルンプール・トリエンナーレ芸術祭、パダン・ジャワ・ストリート・アート・フェスティバル、インドネシア・ジャカルタのグダン・サリーナで開催されたシンディカット・チャンプルサリ展などに参加。LiteraCityの文学のレンズを通じて、クアラルンプールの文化的・文学的マッピングプロジェクトを立ち上げた。現在、台湾の大学院にて社会学と文化学の修士過程に在籍中。ラーマンは、また、時にさまざまな一時的な複数のプラットフォーム上にて、作家、インでペンデントの研究者、翻訳者、ポッドキャスターとして活躍中。

Zikri Rahman has consistently embarked on collaborations with cultural and knowledge activist through Buku Jalanan, a community-based cultural literacy initiative he co-founded, a loose cultural and knowledge workers network focusing on decentralizing the modes of knowledge production. Operating like a “rhizome”, the initiative is spread to almost one hundred different locations and counting, where it has been adopted by hundreds of other autonomous cultural workers worldwide. He has collectively involved with several exhibitions at the inaugural KL Biennale through Field Trip Asia – Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur 7th Triennial Arts Exhibition, Padang Jawa Street Arts Festival and Sindikat Campursari Exhibition, Gudang Sarinah in Jakarta. With LiteraCity, he initiated a literary and cultural mapping project in the city of Kuala Lumpur. Currently pursuing his postgraduate studies in Social Research and Cultural Studies in Taiwan, Zikri is also a writer, independent researcher, translator and occasional podcaster for various ephemeral, yet multiple platforms.
