クララは、ポップな感性を持つソングライターであり、テルミン奏者。クララのライブは、彼女が単独で歌い、テルミン、エレキバイオリン、エレキギター、ウクレレや鉄琴などの楽器を同時に奏でるエレクトリックオーケストラである。彼女のビジュアルスタイルは、遊び心に満ちた夢心地のメロディーワールドにリスナーを引き込むとともに21世紀のポッププリンセスを原宿スーパーガールに変容させる。５歳時よりクラシックバイオリンを始め、テルミン奏者としては世界でも希少な存在として彼女の感情的で猟奇的な多様性を音楽に落とし込めている。彼女のホログラマラスなパルソナなライブステージは、the Barenaked Ladiesの2014年のカナダツアー、The One Man Band Festival、Just for Cats Festival、Word on the Street、NXNE、Spur Festival、IngenuityFest、Beakerheadなど世界中で行われている。彼女のデビューEP、Love Riddle は、the Barenaked Ladies、ルー・リード、Rheostaticsなどのプロデューサーでもあるケビン・ハーンとの共作でNine Inch Nails、Skinny Puppy、Carly Rae Jepsenなどを手がけるデーヴ・オギルビーがミキシングを手がけた。

“Canada’s Theremin Star” Clara Venice creates ethereal, dreamy pop with an array of instruments including Theremin, electric violin, guitar, ukulele and glockenspiel. Her unforgettable visual style ranges from 21st century pop princess to Harajuku spacegirl as she draws listeners into her playful and melodic world. Clara’s captivating performances are integrated with a virtual band of hologlamorous personae, and awe-inspiring landscapes that morph throughout the show. Clara Venice has performed around the world as a headliner as well as opening for renowned acts such as the Violent Femmes, Rough Trade, and Carole Pope. She joined the Barenaked Ladies on their 2014 Cross-Canada tour, and has been showcased at The One Man Band Festival, Just for Cats Festival, Word on the Street, NXNE, Kazoo Fest, Spur Festival, IngenuityFest, and Beakerhead. Her music has been featured in film/television soundtracks and commercials including “Collision Course” (E!/Reelz) and Peter Lynch’s “Birdland”. Her sophomore EP, “Electric Dream” was recorded while she was Artist in Residence at the National Music Centre, and her new single/video for “Satellites” is set for release in Spring 2018.
